Ravi Group has always been known for maintaining extremely close ties with all its partners and continues to strengthen the Ravi Family Network! Taking this forward earlier this summer they organized a tour for their key sales partners to Italy, the home country for their principle partner in the two wheel segment, Piaggio & Co.
The Piaggio Group is the largest European manufacturer of two-wheel motor vehicles and one of the world leaders in its sector. The Piaggio Group product range includes scooters, motorcycles and mopeds from 50 to 1,400 cc marketed under the Piaggio, Vespa, Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, Gilera, Derbi and Scarabeo brands. Ravi Automobile Pvt Ltd is the exclusive representation of Piaggio Group products in Pakistan with a special focus on Aprilia and Derbi product range.
The tour to Italy was organized to celebrate another successful business year for the company and to identify key products to work on in the future. The group comprised of key sales partners from across Pakistan and the core management team. The tour of course started with the magnificent city of Rome and travelling through the scenic areas of Tuscany ending in the enchanting city of Venice!
While talking to the group, company Chief Executive, Fahad Iqbal commented “Alhamdollilah! We have had many successful events in the past, but this trip really is to thank all of you for your business and more importantly being a part of Ravi Family. it gives me great pride to see that most of you have been with us since the inception of this business unit, and our family has been continuously growing with the same spirit”
Appreciating all team members for their special effort in promoting the project with Piaggio group products he said that “I would like to emphasis the fact that not only the current business conditions are right for our growth but they are also ready for us! All the effort that we have put in the past has prepared us to take advantage of the growing Two wheeler market in Pakistan especially in the higher engine displacement capacity. We have a range of world class products from our principles here in Italy and now they are fully compatible to the growing market in Pakistan. We were able to achieve this, only because we believed that this would happen!”
Adding to this Saeed Akhtar, Manager Sales said “moving ahead it is very important to also focus on the changing consumer for our products. Their expectations and purchasing behavior is changing and as always we at Ravi must take the lead in adapting to this change” he continued to brief the group about new products in the pipeline and upcoming customer focused sales plan.
The Piaggio Group has a formidable record in motor racing, with extraordinary names such as Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, Gilera and Derbi that have gone down in sport history. Together, these Piaggio Group brands have won an impressive total of 104 world championship titles: Aprilia: 54 titles; Derbi: 21 titles; Moto Guzzi: 15 titles; Gilera: 14 titles.
In 2014, together with the Rider title, for the third consecutive year Aprilia won the World Manufacturer title in the World Superbike Championship. Aprilia is one of the most successful names in the history of motor racing, with 54 world titles (28 since it became part of the Piaggio Group).
It also has 38 World GP championship titles (20 in the 125 and 18 in the 250 categories), 7 Superbike titles (Rider and Manufacturer in 2010, Rider and Manufacturer in 2012, Manufacturer in 2013, Rider and Manufacturer in 2014) and 9 Off Road titles (7 Supermoto and 2Trial).
In 2105, in the Superstock 1000 FIM Cup, Aprilia won the Rider title with Italy’s Lorenzo Savadori and the Manufacturer title with the Aprilia RSV4 RF 1000cc V4
The introduction of these superior products in Pakistan by Ravi would surely change the face of this industry and meet the growing demands of today’s consumer.
