Omega signs MoU with DFSK for 4 wheeler assembling

The Omega Industries Group has signed a MoU with Dongfeng Sokon (DFSK) Company of China. Under this agreement Omega Industries has established its subsidiary company Regal Automobiles Industries for dealing in 4 Wheeler business. For this purpose its assembling plant is under construction on Multan Road Lahore.

Chairman Omega Industries Suhail Usman Shaikh, addressing on the occasion said that there will be a big gap in supply and demand for 4 wheelers in the country after CPEC completion. To avail this big opportunity we have started to establish a four wheelers assembly plant, he added.

The other speakers on the occasion included Mr. Zhang GM, DFSK, and CEO Omega Industries Tanveer Ahmad. The event was hosted by Faisal Mufti, Group Senior Marketing Manager of Road Prince and DFSK.

DFSK, is a subsidiary brand of DFM (a Fortune Global 500 company). It was founded on June 27, 2003. The business scope of DFSK mainly covers the R&D, production sales and service of mini commercial vehicles, such as mini pick-up, mini bus and passenger vehicles, such as company MPV and engines and spare parts.

DFSK has four vehicle factories, two in Hubei Shiyan Production Base and two in Chongqing Production base, China. Each vehicle factory is equipped with excellent and advanced workshops covering Stamping, Welding, Painting and Assembly and Test Line. Also there are two engine plants and one spare parts plant in Chongqing. At present, the annual turnover of DFSK has exceeded RMB 10 billion and its staff over 10,000.

DFSK is pursuing the world-class quality of technology and service. She is the first in the Chinese mini auto industry who attained the certification for EURO III, EURO IV, EURO V and WVTA. It has been ranked No.1 for export in the Chinese mini auto industry since year 2012.

DFSK always put its focus on the market and is dedicated to the transfer from traditional mini vehicle industry to compact passenger vehicle industry. Based on the improvement of quality and additional value, DFSK is now on its promising expedition to becoming the lead of compact passenger vehicle industry. Recently DFSK launched its three new models in Bangkok.

Omega Industries has emerged from many years of excellence when the father of sitting directors started importing motorcycle parts from Japan. This was an era when auto industry players of Japan had entered the Pakistan’s motorcycle market. It was the great vision of Muhammad Usman Sheikh (late) to get into the business of auto-parts. Later when motorcycle market was developed in Pakistan, he started importing parts from Taiwan and China as well.

The business was expanded when another office in Lahore was opened and they started selling Japanese brand Yamaha. The business in Lahore developed successfully and turned into remarkable unit selling motorcycles and the whole-sale motorcycle parts. Later, the new generation took over and new thoughts were pumped in, who made this business a real success.

From 1995, Pakistan motorcycle market showed acceptance of Chinese origin motorcycles especially in the range of 70cc. By year 2004 the Company management decided to launch “Road Prince” a 4 stroke 70cc motorcycle of Chinese origin.

Recently they held dealers’ incentive tour for Singapore, Malaysia and Bangkok. The Dealers’ convention 2015-16 was held in Bangkok. Shields were distributed to the dealers on various achievements. A documentary of DFSK was shown to dealers while the focus was on quality and competitive price to consumers for marketing promotion.
