First German Engineering & Motor Show in Karachi

The first German Engineering and Motor Show will be held between 26th and 28th January 2017 at the Expo Centre, Karachi, Pakistan. Germany is recognized globally for its outstanding automotive industry and excellence in engineering. German cars symbolize innovation, reliability, safety, and design. Additionally the German Machinery & Equipment industry’s strength is driven by a combination of Germany’s proven engineering tradition, its position as a leader in technological development and its highly diversified industrial base.

On the first day of the event, focus will be on making sure all the participants get the maximum exposure via media coverage and the presence of the Consul General Rainer Schmiedchen of the Federal Republic of Germany and other high level officials.

On Day two the CG aims to conduct seminars, the topics will cover the 3 sectors, namely engineering, machinery and automotive as well as their subsectors. These will range between what opportunities are available in Pakistan for German companies and how linkages can be developed with German companies.

Subsectors included will be, agricultural and construction vehicles, textile machinery,  steel manufacturing machines,  coating and refinishing equipment, 3D Printing, Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, automotive software, engines and systems, vacuum and compressor systems, generators, hydroelectric systems, material handling technology, plant designing and processing technology, robotics and automation, renewable energy, safety and testing systems and power transmission engineering.

As the first exhibition of its kind in Pakistan, the German Engineering & Motor Show aims to pioneer connections between professionals of the three crucial sectors of the German and Pakistani economies. In July/August the Organizers met with nearly 30 companies, most confirmed their interest in participating whilst others are in touch with their principals in Germany before confirming participation. The German Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GPCCI) is currently in the process of recruiting German companies and their distributors to participate in the event.
