Road Prince launches new model in Karachi

Omega Industries Lahore, unveiled its new model of 70cc for 2016-17 and Wego 150cc on 26 March, 2016 in Karachi. The launching ceremony was attended by large number of dealers from Karachi and other parts of the province.

Omega Industries has appointed Nawab Autos as main Distributor for Road Prince Motorcycles in Karachi region. The Company has established its country-wide excellence after many years of hard working and effective service in the market.

According to profile of the Company, Mr. Muhammad Usman Sheikh (late), father of the Company Directors initially started the business by importing motorcycle parts from Japan. This was period when auto industry players of Japan had entered the Pakistan motorcycle market. It was the vision of Mr. Muhammad Usman Sheikh who entered the business of auto-parts. He also started importing parts from Taiwan and then from China as well.

Later, the business expanded and a show-room was opened in Lahore that started selling Japanese brand motorcycle Yamaha. In year 1995, Pakistan motorcycle market also showed interest in Chinese origin motorcycles, especially in the range of 70cc. From year 2000 it started showing upward trend and Chinese motorcycles were gaining wide acceptance in the market.

By the year 2004 management of Omega industries decided to become motorcycle assemblers and launched its own brand of a 4 stroke 70cc motorcycle of Chinese origin in Pakistan. The assembling activities in Lahore developed successfully and turned into remarkable business for both sectors i.e. sales of motorcycles and the wholesale business of motorcycle parts. The young generation inducted in the Company introduced some new thoughts and made the business a real success.
