Al-Haj Shah Jee Gul Afridi, Member National Assembly Standing Committee on Industries & Production informed that Government is likely to sign road transport agreement from Karachi to Central Asian States. It is good news for local transporters who are already supplying goods to Afghanistan. He was addressing as chief guest at the launching of FAW J5M-280 Dominator Prime Mover and inaugural ceremony of the FAW SITE regional set up of Al-Haj FAW Motors at Sindh Industrial Trading Estate in Karachi.
The Chief Guest formally inaugurated the regional setup of the company by unveiling plaque and distributed keys to transporters who had given advance booking orders for J5M-280 Dominator.
On this occasion Chief Representative of FAW Motors China highlighted the background, products, future plans and other aspects of the company.

He disclosed that their first Passenger Hatchback car FAW V2 is very soon to be marketed.
Earlier, Bilal Khan Afridi, Managing Director Al-Haj FAW Motors in his welcome address highlighted the features of FAW J5M-280 Dominator (6X4) Prime Mover. This is a German Technology Euro-2 product; it is cost effective and offers impressive performance at competitive price, with reliability for heavy loads in rugged terrain and severe weather. 280-hp engine is equipped with turbo charger and inter cooler, 24 valves for greater output and efficient fuel consumption. It has comfortable wide luxurious cabin with easy operation and spacious interior having comfortable sleeper bed and air conditioner.
He said customer satisfaction is a major concern of the company and keeping this in mind they have established a country-wide modern service network. “All our FAW dealers operate on ’3S’ basis (sales, service, and spare parts) at all major stations e.g. Karachi, Sadiqabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Peshawar and Quetta. We are planning to expand our service to Multan and Faisalabad also”, he added.
