MOBILE WORLD: How did you enter the Exhibition Management Industry?
DEWEN WANG: I started Event Industry when I was a student. As a leader in my university school, I worked as a bridge between students and event companies. Then after graduation, I became a staff member in a big events company and learnt basic knowledge of the business from then on.
MW: Would you like to highlight the background history and the role of Qingdao Jinnoc International Expo Co., Ltd. in China?
DW: Founded in 1999, Qingdao Jinnoc Int’l Expo Co., Ltd. is one of the leading organizers of industrial and machinery exhibitions, with operations in Qingdao, Shenyang, Wuhan and Guangzhou in China. Focused on providing customers with valuable and professional exhibition services, the company has held more than a dozen regular annual professional exhibitions, covering the field of machine tools, industrial automation, rubber, tires, food industry, packaging machinery, environmental protection, water treatment equipment, etc. At Jinnoc int’l Expo, our focus is on a future of endless opportunities for our industry, our customers and our employees.
MW: How many other events/ fairs are conducted by Jinnoc Expo every year?
DW: In addition to tire fair, every year we have 13 other exhibitions, such as machine tools, industrial automation, rubber, tires, food industry, packaging machinery, environmental protection, water treatment equipment, etc.
MW: What is the background history of Rubber Industry in China International Tire Fairs?
DW: Over the years, China has made significant progress in the industrial world with economic growth. On purchase power parity basis, it is the world’s second largest economy and the world’s third largest trading entity. It is considered as an emerging economy because of its rapid growth and industrialization since opening up. Rubber industry plays a vital role in the functioning of virtually all key sectors of economy which includes daily necessities, infrastructure, healthcare, transportation, machinery and electronics. Rubber provides critical inputs which enable other sectors to grow and it has a wide application in different areas of industry. Shandong Province is the most developed area of rubber tire industry in China. The rubber processing industry is established in all over Shandong and its overall size is more than 1/3 that of China’s rubber industry. The sales revenue increased from 17.8 billion CNY in 1999 to 188 billion CNY in 2012 which grew up to almost 10 times. The Rubber consumption and production of Shandong is accounted for more than 55% of the national total that makes Shandong as leader of Rubber Industry in China. Also there are 14 companies listed on 2013 top 75 Tire Companies, such as Triangle, Linglong, Xingyuan, Jinyu, Chengshan, Doublestar, Hengfeng, Shengtai, Wanda, Sailun, Lu River, Double Happiness, Sangong, and Yellow Sea.
Qingdao is a world-class regional trade center as well as a famous international port city in Shandong province, China. With beautiful scenery and the mildest climate in North China, Qingdao attracts people from all over the world. Therefore, Qingdao-Trade Center of Tire and Rubber Industry is playing a vital role in China.
A Qingdao rubber industry chain which integrates academic activities, R&D, production and trade is formed by Qingdao port, the second largest port with one hundred million tons of export-import capacity, Qingdao University of Science and Technology which is known as ‘Whampoa Military Academy in rubber industry’ and a plurality of researching institutions and academies in rubber industry, rubber machinery manufacturers, professional software providers and freight forwarders.
MW: What are the salient features of this Trade Show?
DW: First, it is held in the largest tyre production and consumption market in China and the greatest trade center of tires in Qingdao, Shandong Province. Second, the visitors to this show are of a high quality and quantity. Third, Jinnoc Expo team promises to offer constant best service to all the participants home and overseas.
MW: How many other organizations are associated with you and supporting to conduct this Fair?
DW: They are M/s: Shandong Provincial People’s Government, Qingdao Municipal People’s Government, Shandong Rubber Trade Association, China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, Taiwan Rubber & Elastomeric Industry Association, and Qingdao University of Science and Technology.
MW: What is the ratio of national and foreign visitors / buyers visiting this fair since its inception?
DW: At the very beginning, there were only domestic visitors from China mainland. Year by year, with the participation of overseas media partners and exhibitors’ recommendation, now there are more than 730 overseas visitors from 40 different countries, like Russia, Brazil, America, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Belarus, UAE, Spain, Japan, Korea, Australia, Canada, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and India etc.
MW: How do you see the future expectations about this fair?
DW: CTF will continue to provide an excellent platform for the worldwide tyre industry professionals to meet and create tremendous business opportunities. It has always been successful and growing center in the industry not only because it is held in the largest tyre production and consumption market in China, but also because the visitors to this show are of high quality and quantity that has exceeded the exhibitors’ expectations.
