The Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak expressed satisfaction that investment has been started in KP even from foreign sides. He was addressing as chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the regional set up of Al-Haj FAW Motors at Ring Road in Peshawar. It merits a mention here that Al-Haj FAW Motors manufactures various types of trucks and passenger vehicles with a load capacity of one ton to sixty tons in collaboration with Chinese technology.
The Chief Minister said that PTI and its allied parties had blocked the NATO supply through Khyber Pakhtunkhwa just to tell the world community that we want peace on our land and the NATO supply would remain suspended until the halt of drone strikes on our soil was not assured.”PTI and its allied parties have been voted to power in the province on one-point agenda of restoring peace in the region and we assure the people that we will implement our agenda cent per cent and not lesser than it”; the Chief Minister reiterated. He said that besides ensuring complete peace in the province, we would replace the existing system of exploitation, corruption and injustice with a new and public friendly one.
“Every single penny of the public exchequer will be recovered looted in the last governments and will be spent on the public welfare”; maintained the Chief Minister. He termed the setting up of regional branch of Al-Haj FAW Motors at Peshawar as an important progress to promote foreign and local investment and industrial activities in the province and remarked that such activities were direly needed in the poverty hit province while the provincial government was taking effective measures to create a conducive environment for bringing here maximum national and international investment.
He assured that the provincial government would not only extend all the required facilities to local and foreign investors but would guarantee them all types of security. Chief Minister described the venture of Al-Haj and FAW Motors as a milestone for industrial growth in the province and assured all possible support to the company.
Chairman Al-Haj group of industries, Al-Haj Shah Jee Gul said that the company manufactured trucks and other goods carriages with a load capacity of one ton to sixty tons locally that suited the geographical terrain of the province. He further told that the products of the company would also be exported to neighboring country Afghanistan and central Asian countries.
Executive Director Al-Haj Motors, Nadeem Ahmad Saleemi and Country Manager FAW Motors Huang Xin highlighted the background, products, future plans and other aspects of the company. Earlier, the Chief Minister formally inaugurated the regional setup of the company by unveiling plaque.
