History of AL-HAJ Group

The very first of ‘AL-HAJ’ companies was launched in 1960 at Jumrud Khyber Agency in District Peshawar, NWFP. The operations initially included the import and export of electronic products, clothes and tyres. Later, the Company expanded its business and became the main dealer of Hino Pak by the name of AL-HAJ Motors.

Late Haji Sakhi Gul Afridi was the founder and first chairman of AL-HAJ Group, a visionary person who had the ability to foresee the future and to turn prospective business into accomplished business goals. The Group is in the process of continuous growth under the skilled guidance of Mr. Taj Muhammad Afridi, the Managing Director of the Group. The proprietors of AL-HAJ Group of Companies have a very close and friendly relationship with Pakistan, Afghanistan & Chinese governments and higher authorities. The Organization has grown into four Strategic Business Units (SBUs), which are working throughout Pakistan, Afghanistan, China and United Arab Emirates.

BRIEF INTRODUTION OF FAW GROUP CHINA (Formerly First Automobile Works)

FAW Group is a global leader in the vehicle manufacturing industry with a 50-year history of innovation. It stands alone in China in possessing both cold and semi-tropical weather vehicle testing facilities.

Our vision is to introduce and capture significant share of the local automotive market by providing quality Chinese vehicles to the customer with full back up support through nationwide 3S dealer network. Our focus is to change people’s mindset about Chinese automobile in Pakistani Market by providing them quality, durability, after sales support, hence giving them the best value against their money.

The Challenge

We are all very well aware that Pakistan Automobile market is dominated by Japanese products and they have been ruling this market for more than 40 years. In order to enter in to this Japanese dominated market we should expect tough challenges. We should be very much focused on our strategies to launch a Chinese product keeping in view the fact that many other Chinese brands also tried to enter this market but could not succeed well. There are many reasons for their failure, among them some major reasons were, poor product selection, poor product quality, poor back-up support and most importantly no proper support from the Principal. Hence our focus should be to avoid all these mistakes.


To enter in the market where the gaps are available and gradually increase the market share. Continuous improvement in quality and durability will result in continuous growth in sales. Hence, giving the customer better value for money and reliable product and excellent after sales service.

AL-HAJ FAW MOTORS PRIVATE LIMITED has already completed its assembly Plant located at Main National Highway, Zulfiqarabad, Karachi with huge investment of over 550 million rupees by AL-HAJ Group.

AL-HAJ FAW MOTORS has entered the automobile industry with long term plans to produce, market and sell good quality, reliable, economical and well-designed vehicles to the local customers. It is the first Automobile Plant in Pakistan for exclusive production of FAW products. The Assembly plant has been equipped with latest machinery and equipment to manufacture FAW trucks, Prime Mover, light Commercial vehicles and Passenger cars in Pakistan. The plant has a capacity of 11,000 units per annum which can be extended according to the requirement.  The operations of assembly plant include production of Heavy Trucks, LCVs and Passenger Cars which will provide many direct and indirect employment opportunities for the people of Pakistan.

AL-HAJ FAW MOTORS has been actively involved in the Heavy Commercial Market (CBU & SKD) since 2006 and has been continuously increasing its market share and now stands among the market leaders in its class. We plan to further penetrate in the Japanese dominated automobile market through introducing our product line in LCV and Passenger Car categories.

First Truck Line off

Friday, October 28, 2011 was not just a date for AL-HAJ FAW MOTORS, it was a major Milestone. This was the day our first Heavy Truck (J5 260) rolled out from the assembly line of newly built state of the art Plant.

3S Dealership Network

Customer’s satisfaction is our major concern and keeping in mind this concept we have established a most modern Service Network countrywide. All our FAW Dealers operate on “3S” basis (Sales, Service, and Spare Parts). Our initial 3S dealership network comprises of 11 Dealerships in 09 cities and we are planning to expand our services to 15 cites.

FAW dealerships are equipped with most modern Special Service Tools (SSTs), state-of-the-art computerized auto servicing and diagnostic equipment. Customers will be looked after by trained and qualified staff. Technical training and up-gradation of technical staff is always a priority of AL-HAJ FAW MOTORS.
