Ravi Motorcycles held its 1st Sales Dealers convention at its Lahore manufacturing plant (HKF Engineering Pvt Limited) based at Raiwind Road. The Plant is set in nine acres of land with complete manufacturing cum assembly unit on one premise. Ravi group is already a recognized manufacturer of automotive high precision components for the OEMs such as Toyota, Suzuki, Hyundai, Massey Ferguson and Fiat.
These components are being manufactured at most modern units like Ravi Autos, Infinity Engineering and HKF Engineering where facilities of casting, die-casting, forging, heat-treatment, precision machining and sheet-metal are available and precision components are being manufactured under best international quality standards. These plants are also exporting components to USA and many European countries.
In November, 2004, Ravi launched its own brand of motorcycle with great success in a market dominated by the Japanese. The convention was rammed full of Ravi dealers from all around Pakistan, most members of board were also present and everybody seemed to be enjoying the day. The day was all about celebrating success and hopes for a very bright future for Ravi.
The Chairman, Ch. Muhammad Afzal, emphasized the need to promote motorcycle sales business through leasing and installments. He strongly believes that the future for new motorcycle sales is leasing and he has already seen the change in the car sales industry, which has resulted in sky rocketing new car sales over the past few years. He is expecting a similar trend in the motorcycle industry over the next few years. He also thanked the dealers who rendered their support in selling of Ravi in a short period of time. He, with great confidence announced that he expects to be hitting 2006 sales targets within 6 months and is looking forward to a record breaking successful year.
The morning entailed a visit around the manufacturing plant coupled with a recognition ceremony for all dealers in the afternoon. The ceremony started with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Haroon Arshad, CEO, discussed in detail regarding the two-wheeler market in the light of past, present & future.
Introduction of production facilities was passed on by the Plant manager, Tahir, Service Manager, Irfan Ahmed Qureshi briefed the dealers regarding the service policy. Muhammad Nasir Bari, GM sales & marketing, briefed the sales network as well as the present situation of the market.
Awards were handed to top performers and memorable shields along with giveaways to all participants. This year Ravi’s key focus is service to gain “Ultimate customer satisfaction”. -MW Reoport
