Pakistan’s burgeoning auto parts industry is on the verge of a Middle East market breakthrough, following a 71% year on year rise in sales during the past two years, where up to 60% of aftermarket products to Middle East are re-exported, making this segment worth up to $ 5 billion annually.
With the advent of investment-friendly environment in the country aided by a tremendous industrial growth in recent years, AUTO & AUTO PARTS PAKISTAN 2005, an International Automobile, Auto Parts & Accessories Exhibition, comes to forth with a full range of vehicles, parts & components, repair equipment & tools, styling products and accessories. It is going to be held on November 23-26, 2005 at Karachi Expo Centre. On the gross area of about 4,000 sqm, more than 200 exhibitors from 25 countries are likely to participate.

According to the latest economic survey, there are 31 automobile manufacturing units involved in assembling & manufacturing business with the support of downstream industry, which comprises of 850 units of auto parts manufacturers. Future projections for 2006 indicate a market of 160,000 Cars and LCV’s; 500,000 Motorcycles; 32,000 Tractors and 4,800 Trucks and Buses moving on the roads, with a total investment potential of Rs.62 billion.
Machine Tools & Automation Pakistan 2005 will open doors into a new international vista with the highest trade potential ready to be explored. The show invites the leading players to display their latest in technology, design and innovation at an interactive platform, converging trade buyers, manufacturers, businessmen, agents, distributors, importers and exporters from around the globe.
Laying the foundation for a significantly greater increase in subsequent years, the manufacturing sector and large-scale manufacturing sector have shown growth by 13.4% and 17.1%, respectively, thus contributing to an overall growth rate of 6.4% in the GDP of Pakistan during 2003-04.
Production of engineering goods and automation products has gained a pivotal value for foreign collaboration in order to move along the fast paced growth in demand to match the country’s industrial development.
